Weekaway is suitable for all types of groups including schools, churches, conferences, families, clubs and management training. Guest feedback confirms we yield the ideal setting and atmosphere to truly relax. Often guests are gloomy to depart and wished they could have stayed longer. Accreditation indicates that we have been independently appraised and confront the core requirements for the safe and reasonable operation of a campsite. One of our number one concerns is the safety and security of our campers. For this reason we undergo steady reviews of our practices and equipment. He has recovered healthy from the operation in November and is now out and about on his bobcat though he tends to avoid the mowing as this did aggravate his back more than anything else. Thankfully we have staff who are accommodating and capable to do this, along with other things around the camp. It is uncommon for Darren to have a day of pain, now, which is fantastic! As some of you were aware, Darren underwent emergency surgery a couple of years ago after suffering pain in his under back. The advice was that he required to go back and have more of his disc removed to relieve the pain. He reports little pain now, impartial boredom and a distaste for hospital food! The doctor has also advised no mowing lawns or driving bobcats (his fresh little toy) for 1216 weeks. Fingers crossed he'll survive that long away from it all! Using a unique program, participants flourish skills in communication, teamwork and leadership. Time spent at Weekaway enhances individual awareness and group responsibility. The property features a variety of both land and water based activities. Whilst at Weekaway, participants have a chance to experience: The central lounge area is ideal for trivial meetings, and is heated by a warm Coonara fire. And video facilities, and is heated is with a gas heater. Every room is fitted with a hardwired smoke alarm, and windows are fitted with fly screens and curtains. Our staff give 3 home cooked meals a day, with morning, afternoon tea and supper also provided. We can cater for barbecues, picnic lunches and camp out provisions depending on your exceptional program. Should you require special dietary plans, we are more than happy to cater to this with some notice.
