Quality plants & unusual gardenwares only one hour from melbourne, the garden tap is kyneton's newest plant nursery and is situated behind the famous 156 year old butter and cheese factory in the historic piper st precinct. Amongst the plants you'll find unique art works from local artists and an ever changing array of recycled and restored garden wares to add that something different to your garden. With an emphasis on frost hardy varieties to suit the macedon ranges climate, heritage fruit trees, this boutique nursery specializes in beautiful and unusual plants, berries and vegies. Orange door entry in wedge st. Open thursday to monday, 10 am to 5 pm.

Of course being in the Macedon Ranges there is an emphasis on frost hardy varieties. Amongst the plants you will discover unique garden art from local artists and artisans as well as recycled and restored garden wares.

Correct on famous Piper Street, walking distance to outrageous regional restaurants, shops and gardens, a brief drive to Victoria's central wine region, and ample of parking right outside. His conceptual steel sculptures reflect his sense of humor and his somewhat irreverent views of social mores. He is constantly exploring the connectedness between his sculptures and the elements of earth (metal), fire and water. We have one of these in store, although not this big! But you have start somewhere. Darryl is a professional metal artist busy from his studio in Mareeba. Great range of bulbs, ready for planting now. Originally built in the 1860s as the manager's residence of an adjoining Flour Mill, it was later impaired as the local Butter Factory, and more recently a woolen Mill, the house has seen a few changes in its lifetime. Now upon entering you find a light and spacious, house that combines the character of its age with unused amenities. There is automatic gas and electric heating, TV, stereo, dishwasher, microwave and cozy chairs and sofas. The decor is tastefully 'eclectic' throughout. Its location next to The Garden Tap Nursery provides a lovely botanical outlook from a number of windows. For anyone interested in gardening, or appreciating plants without the firm work, you're in the right place. Step out the fore door and your right on Wedge Street a couple of steps from the corner of Piper Street. Piper Street is famous for its food and shopping. The house was spotlessly tidy and in a vast location close to the shops on historic Piper Street. The house has attractive period features and is very comfortable. Pleasing wine, cheese, milk, coffee, bread and more.
