Bringalbit is a unique part of australia's rural history. Day coach tours are catered for and meals can be arranged. The woolshed doubles as an art studio and a small one room cottage is a gallery/shop. The ten acre park and gardens are world recognised and are open daily. The woolshed hill house is a 4 star cottage with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The dining room is licensed and delicious australian country food is available. Accommodation in the homestead is traditional - the bedrooms are spacious and have private facilities. The 1870's homestead, built from granite from the land, overlooks an ornamental lake with its own little island - waterlilies float on the surface. Set in 450 acres of rolling farmland. The setting is stunning. Accommodates up to 16. Children are welcome.

A unique piece of Australia’s rural history. After it’s settlement in 1858, the granite homestead was build in at least three stages, while the garden too has had contributions to it, by various people, over man years. William fish lived on the property from 1887 1908, and his is credited with landscaping the lake and planting many of the now mature, exotic tree species. More trees were planted, including a spruce in the worn mine. A stone wall was built around the garden at this time, pines were planted along the fence imminent the tombstone paddock’, and abundant other building projects also contributed to the site. The Fox’s purchased Bringalbit in 1990, and since then have carried out considerable restoration labor concurrent with the development of new areas. Deceased trees, branches and undergrowth have been cleared, and willows on the lake have been thinned to prohibit the choking of cordylines, flax and agapanthus. In 1991 there were no actual garden beds at Bringalbit, and with scanty photographic records available, it does not seem that flowers were a feature. The paddock north of the house has now been developed into a garden area, which includes a quince and crab apple walk, shrub and perennial borders, vegetable gardens, an olive grove and an orchard.

The difficult stone house was originally a woodshed gracefully remodeled in the hasty 1900's into the stately home it is today. Sue you are an outstanding cook and an absolute delight to deal with. Your property is spectacular and was the beginning end store we looked at for a wedding venue, it suited exactly what we wanted. Thank you Sue for a splendid experience. And we loved all the animals. It came up beautifully in the photo’s really was the maximum perfect meaningful place for us to get married. More than a scanty people have said it was their favorite wedding which is everlasting attractive to hear. Love your splendid cooking and will miss you when we go back.
